Pacific Ocean Engineering and Services (Pacific Ocean) has recently signed and provided Hyundai Changhung diesel engines to Kiên Giang Composite Company for the operation of the 25M68 ferry.
The Hyundai Changhung engines have a power range from 70 to 550 horsepower, while the ship generators range from 24 to 350KW, all meeting the stringent quality standards of South Korea to serve well for both tourism and long-distance fishing activities.
In addition to supplying engines, Pacific Ocean also collaborates with Hyundai Changhung’s top engineering team to transfer technology and provide a warranty for 6,000 operating hours or one year from the delivery date.
The collaboration with Hyundai Changhung in providing diesel engines is a significant milestone for domestic fleets to access genuine engines and spare parts from this reputable South Korean brand. The advantages of these engines lie in their powerful operational capacity, diverse power range, low operating and maintenance costs, and optimized fuel consumption to improve economic benefits.
The 25M68 ferry is a passenger vessel with a capacity of about 100 passengers and 6 crew members serving the tourism purposes in Phu Quoc district, Kiên Giang. The vessel is 100% domestically produced and is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year.
